I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the premier aerospace schools in the nation. I worked for a while on fluids ground systems for rockets and now I work on satellites, helping design, build, and fly micro and picosats (aka, satellites under 50 kg and 10 kg).
Sure I have above average knowledge of space and engineering because of my degrees but I never really appreciated just how above average it was. Then I left the world of “engineering school” and entered the real world. I was asked questions like “What’s bigger: the galaxy or the universe?” by high school seniors, who were completely sincere and honest in their question.
So to help the lack of knowledge, this website was born. Come, learn about science and engineering in easy to understand terms. And don’t be afraid to ask questions! I won’t always know the answers, but I probably have friends who do, and I’ll find someone to answer your question!
